General Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns of The United Methodist Church is responsible for giving leadership to The United Methodist Church in its quest for unity and for the development of relationships with other churches, ecumenical organizations and religious faith communities.
GCCUIC enables the ecumenical/interfaith vision and direction for The United Methodist Church (UMC) as called for in the Constitution of the denomination. The Commission strives to foster Christian Unity and draw the attention of the church to ways in which to ensure that the ecumenical/interfaith vision of the UMC is made known and advocated throughout the church.
