Christian Educators Fellowship

The Legacy for Learning Endowment Fund

In support of the Christian Educators Fellowship of the United Methodist Church

Christian Educators Fellowship is an association of United Methodists and persons from other denominations who have responsibility for Christian education in any of its diverse forms, in and beyond the local church.  CEF nurtures, supports, challenges, and advocates for persons with responsibility for fostering discipleship through Christian education.

The often quoted advice of John Wesley regarding Christian stewardship is "Earn all you can, save all you can, give all you can." Christian Educators Fellowship supports three endowment funds, The R. Harold Hipps Endowment Fund, the Legacy for Learning Endowment fund and the Goddard-Johnson endowment Fund.

The Legacy for Learning Endowment Fund

Christian Educator Fellowship in partnership with The United Methodist Church Foundation created The Legacy for Learning Fund to ensure that scholarships are available for those desiring to pursue careers ads Christian educators.

CEF also is committed to the Goddard-Johnson Endowment Fund

The Goddard-Johnson Chair, at Africa University, named for Christian educators Carrie Lou Goddard and Ethel Johnson, is a project of the General Church supported by Christian Educators Fellowship. The establishment of this chair will fund a professor of Christian Education helping to supply leaders in global Christian education. The UMC foundation is proud to work in support of this endowment with the development office of Africa University.   For more information on giving to this fund contact Lloyd Rollins, Director of development, Africa University at 615-340-7438 or http://audo.umc.org/interior.asp?ptid=26&mid=7938
